Smurfs director Chris Miller is offering fans a behind-the-scenes peek at what makes “The Smurfs Movie” so unique and enchanted as the countdown to its premiere approaches.

Miller shared that the film’s star, Rihanna, had no hesitation in assuming the part and giving Smurfette more depth, humor, and emotion than ever before.

“She came in with an open heart, an open mind, and more knowledge about Smurfs than anyone I will ever know. She also is an outsider who found her place, like Smurfette. She’s got a great voice. She’s a terrific actress. As a musician, she is singular. Everything she touches, she makes exceptional and her own,” said Miller.
