MOBILE COUNTY

  • All Mobile County Health Department and Family Health facilities will be closed on Monday, Aug. 30.  For updates from MCHD go to their Facebook page here.

  • Mobile Museum of Art will be closed to the public Saturday, Aug. 28 as staff prepare to protect the artwork from potential damage from Hurricane Ida. The museum is scheduled to reopen, Aug. 31.

  • University of Mobile all on-campus classes and activities will be closed Monday, Aug. 30. Online classes will continue as planned, however professors are asked to work with students who experience power outages during and after the storm. Campus is expected to reopen Tuesday, Aug. 31 unless notified otherwise. Updates of any changes can be viewed here.

  • University of South Alabama will close all on-campus classes and activities Monday, Aug. 30. Students should contact professors for remote options and/or online activities/assignments. Dining operations will be modified for Sunday and Monday and can be found on the Dinging Service website. Employees should plan to report to work on Monday unless otherwise announced.   • Mobile County Schools announced all schools will be closed Monday, Aug. 30. Updates will be provided on Mobile County Schools social media.

  • The Archdiocese of Mobile Catholic Schools in Mobile and Baldwin counties will close schools on Monday, Aug. 30.

  • Shelton Academy will be closed Monday, Aug. 30.

  • Chickasaw City Schools will be closed Monday, Aug. 30. Classes are expected to resume on Tuesday, Aug. 31.

  • Satsuma City Schools will be closed on Monday, Aug. 30.

  • Saraland City Schools will be closed on Monday, Aug. 30.

  • UMS-Wright will be closed Monday, Aug. 30.

  • Prichard Preparatory School will be closed Monday, Aug. 30.

  • Mobile Christian School will be closed on Monday, Aug. 30.

  • Day and evening classes at both ACCEL Day and Evening Academy and ACCEL Preparatory Academy are canceled on Monday, Aug. 30. 

  • Mobile Community Action’s Administrative Office, Headstart and Community Services centers will be closed on Monday, Aug. 30. Normal operating hours will resume on Tuesday.

  • Cottage Hill Christian Academy will be closed Monday, Aug. 30.

  • USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park will be closed Sunday, Aug. 29. And Monday morning Aug. 30. Management teams will access the condition of the park to determine reopening.

  • Austal will be closed both shifts Monday, Aug. 30. Hours will resume as normal on Tuesday.

  • Mobile Community Action Head Starts Schools and the Agency’s administrative office will be closed Monday, Aug. 30.

  • Mobile City Operations will be closed Monday, Aug. 30.

  • Mobile Community Based Outpatient Clinic will be closed Aug. 30.

  • Point Academy will be closed Monday, Aug 30.

  • Mobile Public Library: all locations will be closed on Monday, Aug. 30 due to Ida. In a Sunday release, the Library system said it would “re-evaluate to make a decision about Tuesday’s status.”

  • Rainbow Childcare Center will be closed Monday, Aug. 30.

  • Covenant Academy will be closed Monday, Aug. 30

BALDWIN COUNTY

  • Baldwin County Schools will be closed Monday, Aug. 30. School is expected to resume Tuesday, Aug. 31.

  • Solid Waste Billing office will be closed Monday, Aug, 30.

  • Magnolia Landfill will be open from 7 AM to 5 PM Monday

  • MacBride and Eastfork Landfill and Bay Minette Transfer Station will be open from 7 AM to 4 PM Monday

  • Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Administrative Offices will be closed to the public on Monday

  • All Coastal Alabama Community College campuses are closed Monday, Aug. 30 due to Hurricane Ida.

  • Garbage collection routes in Baldwin County will be pushed back one day from the scheduled pickup days. Bulk and yard debris will also be pushed back one day from the scheduled pick-up day.

  • Orange Beach Aquatics Center, Golf Center and Recreation Center will be closed on Sunday, Aug. 29.

  • All public bay access areas in the City of Daphne closed at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, until further notice.

  • Gulf Shores closed all public parking at the beach.

  • Gulf Shores City Schools are closed Monday, Aug. 30.

  • The City of Fairhope will close all offices and buildings on Monday, Aug. 30. Phone lines will remain open for citizens who need help. Essential personnel will remain on standby. Garbage and recycling will not run, but will resume on their next scheduled pickup day.

  • The City of Daphne will close administrative offices and municipal operations on Monday, Aug. 30. All emergency personnel will remain staffed. This decision comes in response to threats of tropical storm wind gusts, heavy rain and possible flooding. All waste removal services scheduled for Monday are rescheduled for Sept. 1

ESCAMBIA COUNTY

  • All Escambia County, Ala. schools and offices are closed Aug. 30. As of Sunday afternoon, the plan was the reopen schools and offices on Tuesday, Aug. 31.

WASHINGTON COUNTY

  • All Washington County Schools will be closed on Monday, Aug. 30.

CLARKE COUNTY

  • Clarke County Schools will be closed on Monday, Aug. 30. School officials will give an update on when classes will resume.

MONROE COUNTY

  • All Monroe County Board of Education Schools and Offices will be closed Monday, Aug. 30. This includes after-school activities as well. School will resume on Tuesday, Aug. 31, unless noted otherwise.

GEORGE COUNTY, MISS.

  • The George County School District has is closing schools on Monday, Aug. 30, for all students and staff. At this time, students and staff should report to school as regularly scheduled on Tuesday, Aug. 31.

  • The Lucedale Walmart is closing at 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, and will reopen Monday, Aug. 30.

GREENE COUNTYMISS.

  • Greene County Schools will be closed Monday, Aug. 30, due to Hurricane Ida. School is expected to resume Tuesday, Aug. 31.

GULFPORT, MISS.

  • Memorial Clinic will close the walmart location on Highway 49 , Magnolia Grove Healthcare Walk-In Clinic and the Gulfport and D’lberville COVID testing location and Hotline Sunday, Aug. 29.

  • All COVID testing locations will be closed Monday and reopen Tuesday.

  • Diamondhead Walk-In Clinic, Memorial Physician Clinics, Ocean Springs Family Medicine Clinic, Biloxi Orthopedic, Memorial Physician Clinicis Orthopedic Trauma, Memorial Physician Clinics Family Medicine & Walk-In Clinic, Memorial Physician Clinics Cedar Lake Multispecialty, Memorial Internal Medicine Clinic, and St. Martin Family Medicine Clinic will be closed Monday, Aug 30.

MISSISSIPPI

  • Davis Bayou Area is closed until further notice according to Gulf Island National Seashore. Evaluation of the park will occur Sunday, Aug. 29, for reopening conditions. Updates can be found here.

  • Biloxi Shuckers and the Rocket City Trash Pandas Sunday, Aug. 29 game has been canceled with the approach of Hurricane Ida. Tickets can be exchanged for any remaining Shucker’s regular seasonal game. The box office will be closed Sunday and Monday.

  • Biloxi VA Medical Center will be closed Monday, Aug. 30.

NORTHWEST FLORIDA

  • Gulf Island National Seashore is preparing to close. Opal Beach, Perdido Key, Okaloosa, and Fort Pickens Area will be closed until further notice. Evaluation of the parks will occurre Sunday, Aug. 29 for reopening conditions. Updates can be found here.

  • Navarre Beach Pier is closed and will be closed Monday, Aug. 30.

  • All schools and offices of the Escambia County School District will close Monday, Aug. 30. all extracurricular activities are also canceled. As of Sunday afternoon, the District planned to reopen on Tuesday.

  • Pensacola Christian Academy has canceled all classes and activities for Monday, Aug. 30. School is scheduled to resume on Tuesday.

  • Santa Rosa County District Schools closed on Monday, Aug. 30. School and after-school activities are expected to resume Tuesday, Aug. 31.

  • Escambia County School District Schools and offices will close Monday, Aug. 30. The cancellation of regular school district operations includes all extracurricular activities. The school district plans to reopen on Tuesday, Aug. 31. More info here.

  • Okaloosa County School District schools and all school-related activities will be canceled on Monday, Aug. 30. Schools and school activities are expected to reopen on Tuesday, Aug. 31. More info here.

  • The Diocese of Tallahassee-Pensacola is canceling Catholic schools in Escambia and Okaloosa counties Monday. They will reopen Tuesday.

  • Escambia County offices will be closed Monday, Aug. 30.

  • ECAT bus service, UWF and Pensacola Beach Trolley service will be suspended Monday, Aug. 30. Escambia County Community Transportation (ECCT) will suspend regular service, except for dialysis and life-sustaining services on Monday.
